Between the last and this update nothing has changed on the hardware-site, but on the software level.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"471\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Home-Lab-1.png?resize=1024%2C471&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1449\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Home-Lab-1.png?resize=1024%2C471&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Home-Lab-1.png?resize=300%2C138&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Home-Lab-1.png?resize=768%2C353&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Home-Lab-1.png?w=1200&amp;ssl=1 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Two very interesting VMware products were added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"font-size:15px\"><li>VMware vRealize Automation<\/li><li>VMware Horizon<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Together with my colleague <a href=\"https:\/\/mb-labs.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Manuel Billmaier<\/strong><\/a>, we run a hyperconverged solution from Dell called VxRail at Computacenter, which runs a VMware Cloud Foundation in Consolidated Design, because of limited hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/pngaaa.com-3880186.png?resize=156%2C88&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-947\" width=\"156\" height=\"88\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/pngaaa.com-3880186.png?w=451&amp;ssl=1 451w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/pngaaa.com-3880186.png?resize=300%2C170&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 156px) 100vw, 156px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vmware.com\/products\/vrealize-automation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VMware vRealize Automation<\/a><\/strong>, an infrastructure automation solution specializing in VMware, runs on top of this. There we show our customers how to build various cloud templates in order to deploy them to the respective resources on-prem (VMware vCenter) and public cloud (AWS, Azure and\/or Google Cloud). VMware vRealize Automation also offers the Service Broker, where cloud templates are relesead as catalog items and users can request them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cloud templates can grow from simple VM templates to Ansible, Infoblox, etc. integration. But applications can also be mapped here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you are interested in these use cases, please post it in the comments and we will show you how it works with an official workshop.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both Manuel and I have VMware vRealize Automation in our home labs to try out things in advance that may not be possible in the Solution Center right now due to dependencies on other departments.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"182\" height=\"105\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/irg-net.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/logo.png?resize=182%2C105&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-941\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techzone.vmware.com\/resource\/what-vmware-horizon#overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>VMware Horizon<\/strong><\/a>, is much more than just a virtual desktop infrastructure solution. Especially in the Corona pandemic, VDIs have become important due to home office activities.
